Pori

The City of Pori was founded on the mouth of the Kokemäenjoki river in 1558. Traditionally an industrial and port city, it has rapidly transformed itself into a city of students. Its strong ties to culture have kept the city vigorous for centuries. Pori is well connected to the rest of Finland and the whole world. It takes about 15-10 minutes from the airport, railway station or bus station to the city centre and conference venue.

By plane

The flight from Helsinki to Pori takes about an half an hour. For air travel, the addresses you need are www.finnair.com and www.blue1.com.

By train

Pori railway station is almost in the city center. You can get to Pori from Helsinki via Tampere in 3 hours with the Pendolino train (change in Tampere), from Tamepre in 1,5 hours. For train information, look at www.vr.fi/heo/eng, which includes all the details you need.

By express bus

Pori bus station is in the city center. You can get Pori from Helsinki via Forssa, Huittinen, Kokemäki, Harjavalta. The route takes 3-4 hours.
